Unpub
What is an Unpub?
Unpub is short for Unpublished Games Festival. An Unpub is an event dedicated to the betterment of unpublished, self published and alternatively published games seeking mainstream publishing, player feedback, or just to be played by more people. The first Unpub was held in Woodside, Delaware in January of 2011.
The heart of the Unpub is bringing designers with games together with players who want to play new games. It’s as simple as that.
Cartrunk Entertainment is working with other businesses and individuals who support the ideals of the Unpub to grow the program, making the benefits of this type of focused play-testing available throughout the country to designers at all levels. After two successful Unpubs, it’s time to start thinking towards the future…
Stay tuned for more information about the next steps for the Unpub program.
